How does Empatyzer separate EU data storage from processing by external AI providers?
Empatyzer stores personal data on AWS servers in the European Union; generating AI answers is a separate step, in which its AI providers, OpenAI and Anthropic, receive only the information needed for each answer.
Some of Empatyzer's service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area; in that case Empatyzer relies on safeguards permitted under the GDPR, in particular European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. The AI providers do not use data submitted by Empatyzer to train their models, and Empatyzer does not sell personal data. A data-protection review should therefore cover both the storage location and that processing; Empatyzer's Privacy Policy describes the details.
