Who can see what in Empatyzer: private conversations with Em, what colleagues and administrators see, aggregated group data, AI providers, data storage and account deletion.

  1. Are my conversations with Em private from my employer?

    Yes. Your conversations with Em, the AI coach in Empatyzer, are private: your employer, managers, HR, organization administrators and other users cannot see your questions or Em's answers.

  2. What does “private” mean in Empatyzer?

    “Private” in Empatyzer means that your conversations with Em and your full assessment results are not available to your employer, managers, HR, organization administrators or other users.

  3. Can my conversations with Em or my assessment results end up in my performance review?

    No. Conversations with Em, the AI coach in Empatyzer, and your full assessment results stay private, so they cannot reach your organization or feed into appraisals; Empatyzer’s Terms of Use do not allow using it for employee performance assessment.

  4. What can an organization administrator see in Empatyzer?

    An Empatyzer organization administrator sees what is needed to run the organization: members, plan, structure, domains and aggregated usage statistics. Administrators cannot see members' conversations with Em, questionnaire answers or full assessment results.

  5. What can colleagues see about me in Empatyzer's comparison views?

    Colleagues who select you in Empatyzer see practical advice for working with you and a description of how the two of you differ, never your questionnaire answers or full assessment results.

  6. How can an organization measure Empatyzer adoption while keeping chats private?

    Empatyzer shows adoption through aggregated, anonymous organization statistics, which reveal how the system is used but nothing that people discussed with Em.

  7. How does Empatyzer protect privacy in aggregated reporting?

    Empatyzer keeps organizational reporting at group level: statistics are aggregated and anonymous, group data appears only for groups of at least five people, and no report gives access to private conversations or individual results.

  8. What minimum group size does Empatyzer use for aggregated organizational reporting?

    Five people: Empatyzer shows aggregated group data only for groups of at least five people.

  9. Which AI providers does Empatyzer work with?

    Empatyzer uses OpenAI and Anthropic to provide some of its AI features, and these providers do not use data submitted by Empatyzer to train their models.

  10. Does Empatyzer use client data to train public AI models?

    No. Client data are not used to train public AI models: Empatyzer's AI providers, OpenAI and Anthropic, do not use data submitted by Empatyzer to train their models.

  11. How does Empatyzer separate EU data storage from processing by external AI providers?

    Empatyzer stores personal data on AWS servers in the European Union; generating AI answers is a separate step, in which its AI providers, OpenAI and Anthropic, receive only the information needed for each answer.

  12. How is my conversation history handled in Empatyzer?

    Empatyzer saves your conversations with Em on your account, split by days and conversation contexts, and keeps them for as long as your account exists.

  13. What happens to my data when I delete my Empatyzer account?

    After you delete your Empatyzer account, your data is no longer available in the active system or in the organizations you belonged to, and the deletion cannot be undone.

  14. How should I protect patient or third-party data when using Em?

    When you ask Em, the AI coach in Empatyzer, for help, share only what is needed to prepare the conversation and leave out identifying or sensitive details about patients, employees, clients or other third parties.

  15. How can I use Empatyzer safely on a shared workplace computer?

    Sign in to Empatyzer with your own account and log out when you finish, using the exit arrow at the bottom of the left vertical menu.

  16. How does Empatyzer protect personal data and private conversations?

    Empatyzer combines a privacy model with technical safeguards: conversations with Em and full assessment results stay with the user, and personal data are stored on AWS servers in the European Union, encrypted at rest and protected by several layers of security.

  17. Does my manager get a hidden or more detailed view of me in Empatyzer?

    No. Empatyzer gives no manager, administrator or owner a hidden, privileged psychological view of other people.

  18. Can I stay invisible to colleagues while using Empatyzer?

    Yes. You can keep using Empatyzer while hiding your name on the group maps and turning off advice about you for other users; these are two separate settings.

  19. How can I exercise my GDPR rights in Empatyzer?

    To exercise your GDPR rights in Empatyzer, write to em@empatyzer.com, the contact address of the data controller, EMPATYZER sp. z o.o. You can also delete your account yourself at any time.

  20. Does Empatyzer sell my personal data?

    No. According to its Privacy Policy, Empatyzer does not sell personal data. It entrusts personal data to service providers it needs to run the product, such as hosting, AI, sign-in and payment providers.
