Administration and organization management

Why does Empatyzer ask who my direct manager is?

Short answer

Empatyzer uses information about your direct manager only to reconstruct your real team, department and reporting line, so that advice and micro-lessons fit the people you actually work with. It gives your manager no special insight into your data.

Teams in Empatyzer are usually identified by the manager's name and department, so this information helps place you in the right team. When your manager changes, your micro-lesson plan is recalculated. Your manager still cannot see your conversations with Em or your full assessment results.

Other ways to ask

  • why do I have to name my boss
  • does my manager get my results
  • purpose of the direct manager field
  • reporting line in Empatyzer
