Which groups you can select in Empatyzer’s group mode and how to read “You compared with the team”, including its eighteen dimensions and percentage segments.

  1. What kinds of groups can I analyze in Empatyzer?

    Empatyzer’s group mode, opened with the three-person icon, covers four kinds of groups: a team, a department, the whole organization and a project or working group.

  2. How do I choose a team, department, company or project group in Empatyzer?

    Click the three-person icon in Empatyzer’s left vertical menu, then choose the group from the list above the chat; you can scroll the list or search it by name.

  3. What is a project group in Empatyzer?

    A project group in Empatyzer is a set of people who work together even though they belong to different departments or report to different managers, for example an IT project team or a multidisciplinary team on a hospital shift.

  4. What does “You compared with the team” show in Empatyzer?

    Empatyzer’s “You compared with the team” view shows where you stand relative to a selected group, or to the general population, on eighteen bipolar dimensions of work and collaboration, such as direct versus indirect communication.

  5. What are the eighteen dimensions in Empatyzer’s “You compared with the team”?

    Empatyzer’s “You compared with the team” places you, relative to the selected group, on eighteen bipolar dimensions of work and collaboration, from simple versus complex solutions to spontaneous versus planned action.

  6. What do the 2%, 5%, 9%, 15% and 19% segments mean in Empatyzer’s “You compared with the team”?

    In Empatyzer’s “You compared with the team”, the ten segments above the axes are shares of the reference distribution: 2%, 5%, 9%, 15%, 19%, 19%, 15%, 9%, 5% and 2%.

  7. Why can my position change when I compare myself with a different group in Empatyzer?

    Because Empatyzer shows your position relative to the group you select, not as an absolute score, the same profile can sit near one end of an axis in one group and near the middle in another.

  8. How should I interpret whether a team is similar or diverse in Empatyzer?

    Empatyzer treats neither pattern as better: a similar, compact team can coordinate quickly, while a diverse one brings more perspectives and fresh ideas.

  9. Can I compare myself with the whole population as well as my organization in Empatyzer?

    Yes. In Empatyzer’s “You compared with the team”, checkboxes above the chart let you compare yourself with the selected group, such as your company, and with the general population.
