Teams, departments, organizations and project groups

Why can my position change when I compare myself with a different group in Empatyzer?

Short answer

Because Empatyzer shows your position relative to the group you select, not as an absolute score, the same profile can sit near one end of an axis in one group and near the middle in another.

For example, someone who speaks fairly directly can be the most direct person in a diplomatic team and close to the middle in a team used to blunt feedback. Your results stay the same; only the comparison changes. Use the shift as perspective on how you fit a particular environment, not as a verdict on you.

Other ways to ask

  • why is my result different in another team
  • position changed after switching group
  • is my position an absolute score
  • relative comparison explained
