Navigation and conversation contexts
Why does Empatyzer ask me to choose the exact person or group before a personalized question?
Short answer
Each context gives Em a different set of relevant data. Selecting the exact person or group prevents the system from assuming that a name alone identifies the right person, which matters especially in larger organizations where names can repeat.
Without a selection, Em does not guess whom you mean; she points you to the right icon and the selector above the chat instead. Choosing the context is part of navigation, not a judgment about the selected person.
Other ways to ask
