Similarity Map
What does a department’s similarity percentage mean on Empatyzer’s Similarity Map?
Short answer
On Empatyzer’s Similarity Map, the percentage next to a department in the legend shows how similar the people in that department are to one another overall; it is not a performance, engagement or team-quality score.
A higher percentage means a more compact, internally similar department; a lower one means more varied profiles. The legend shows it only when the department is large enough, and like all group data it is aggregated and appears only for groups of at least five people. Neither is better: a similar department can coordinate quickly, while a varied one brings more perspectives, so use the figure to start a concrete conversation about how the team works.
