# Why should I check Empatyzer’s definitions instead of guessing from a label?

Because Empatyzer’s labels, such as the names of talents and motivators, are shortcuts, and the definition used in the product can be narrower than, or different from, the everyday meaning of the word.

Hover over a name or chart element to see the definition Empatyzer uses. Reading it first keeps you from drawing conclusions about yourself, or preparing a conversation, on the basis of a misleading reading of a single word.
