# Why is the assessment part of conversation preparation in Empatyzer?

Because in Empatyzer the same advice is not right for everyone: guidance depends on who is asking, about whom and in what situation. The assessment tells Em how you tend to react and communicate and, if you can select the other person, how they do.

Em combines your assessment with your description of the situation and what you want to achieve. You can select the other person above the chat if they belong to the currently selected organization, have completed the required part of the assessment and have not turned off advice about themselves; the guidance then also reflects the differences between you. Otherwise, you can describe their behavior or paste a message, and Em works with your assessment and that context. The assessment adds to the facts you give rather than replacing them, and the decision stays with you.
