# Why does Empatyzer show internal tensions as well as strengths?

Empatyzer shows internal tensions because two of your needs or tendencies can pull in different directions, and such combinations help explain inner conflict and fatigue that a list of strengths alone would not.

For example, someone may value autonomy and also want clear expectations. Your profile can include a card on internal tensions that describes such combinations and helps explain why you may react differently in different situations.
