# Where does Empatyzer fit around recruitment and onboarding?

Empatyzer fits onboarding, not recruitment: it is not intended for recruitment or candidate selection, and its Terms of Use prohibit using it for those purposes or for hiring decisions. Once a new person joins, it helps them and their team understand each other.

Hiring decisions rest on the organization's own recruitment process. After joining, the new person completes the questionnaire, and Em, comparisons with colleagues, team views and personalized micro-lessons support onboarding and early collaboration; for example, a manager can prepare the first 1:1 or a conversation about expectations with Em.
