# What are the main tensions in Empatyzer’s Organizational Culture chart?

Empatyzer’s culture chart shows two main tensions: Adhocracy versus Hierarchy (flexibility and experimentation versus roles, procedures and control) and Clan versus Market (relationships and trust versus results and competition).

In a Clan culture, trust and relationships drive effectiveness; in a Market culture, results and competitiveness come first. None of the four types is presented as universally best.
