# How is activation different from registration in an Empatyzer pilot?

In an Empatyzer pilot, registration only means that a person has created an account or joined the organization; activation means reaching a first real use, which the pilot should define in advance.

A practical definition is completing the assessment and preparing at least one real conversation with Em; agree on it before launch so that registration figures are not mistaken for use. Administrators see the data needed to manage the organization, such as each member's name, email address, join date and whether they have completed the questionnaire, but not their questionnaire answers, full results or conversations with Em. Organization statistics show activity in aggregated, anonymous form, so ask participants in a short survey whether they have prepared a conversation with Em.
