# How do I log out of Empatyzer?

Click the exit arrow, the lowest icon in Empatyzer’s left vertical menu. Empatyzer also logs you out automatically after a period of inactivity.

Automatic logout protects an unattended device: after a period of inactivity, a ring around your photo or initials counts down five minutes, and in the last 30 seconds a visible countdown and sound signals appear. This keeps other people from reading your conversations.

## Steps

1. Go to the bottom of the left vertical menu.
2. Click the exit-arrow icon.
3. Your current session ends.
